Lela George

Lela George, known by her spirit name Yeyatalunyuhe—which means “She Draws”—is an Indigenous artist, entrepreneur, and community advocate from the Oneida Nation of the Thames in Southwold, Ontario. She is of the Wolf Clan and carries Mohawk ancestry from Six Nations. Currently residing in London, Ontario, she lives with her partner Jordan and their children . Lela is the founder and sole owner of Sacred Mugs & Custom Creations, a business specializing in custom sublimation art and novelty items. Self-taught through online tutorials and hands-on experimentation, she launched the business while on social assistance and has since grown it into a sustainable source of income for her family. Her vision includes establishing a community studio to foster creativity and provide a supportive space for healing through art .
